If you want pie, the place to stop by. They have other food options but we came to try the pie. Recommend the cherry and any of the multi berry.

A big thank you to the original Grand Traverse Pie Company on West Front Street in Traverse City. I've been here twice within the past four weeks and both experiences were superb. Not only do they have amazing pies in a variety of flavors, they also have a great menu of sandwiches, soups, salads, quiche, and more. For my birthday last month I enjoyed the fifteen dollar reward and had quiche and salad which also came with a side of dressings, a.baguette, and delicious pumpkin bread full of spice. The portion was generous and the food really good. Today my friend and I came in to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Grand Traverse Pie Company and had a brilliant time. We enjoyed our half sandwich and salad and quiche and half salad a lot. The cherry and raspberry pie and cherry and peach pie were absolutely delicious.There's a reason this place is full of devoted customers; a cozy atmosphere, awesome and friendly employees, fantastic pies and good food choices that are tasty. Traverse City is lucky to have such a wonderful place to dine. We were here for the first time and had to try the Cherry pie. We loved it! So delicious. However, the service (for us) was very poor. The person who took our order and preparing our food was more interested in chatting with their co workers about someone's brother than actually getting our food. Note this wasn't a quick comment but full on conversation. When she finally brought our order, she forgot about some of the items we purchased. A bit disappointed in our experience, but in fairness we saw others that were working hard and getting orders out and the pie was good.

My husband and family bought three small pies from here for our anniversary. Took them home, 2 hour drive, put them on the kitchen counter inside the bag. 4 hours later went to cut into them and all three had little ants. They had been sealed in the plastic bag until then. Called the company the next day and the lady told me the ants came from my house. I assured her they did not but that was the end of it. All three pies went into the trash. Never got to try them. I never leave reviews wether good or bad but this was very disappointing.

Friendly staff. Cute restaurant. Have only picked up things to go. Love they have a few gluten free (and vegetarian) options that are sweet. My family enjoyed the cherry pie and and GF pumpkin bars are awesome.
